What is Ten Talents?
The mission of Ten Talents is to create a movement of people committed to being faithful stewards of the resources that God has entrusted to them.
The name Ten Talents is a tip of the hat to the faithful servant in Matthew 25. He was entrusted with five talents and he immediately put it to work and earned five more. His master was pleased with his stewardship over a few things and put him in charge of many.
Which servant will you be?
Just like that servant, God has entrusted you with certain resources and he wants you to use them wisely. The Bible gives a good deal of guidance in the area of money. My goal with TenTalents.org is to help you apply that Biblical instruction to the very real area of your personal finances. That means we’ll be looking at areas like stewardship, honesty, giving, investing, borrowing, and contentment. Who is Joe Hearn?
Good question. I’ve been a financial adviser for more than fifteen years and I also enjoy writing about finances and investing. I’m married and my wife and I have a six year old daughter. As a Christian (and given my profession) I’ve always been interested in what the Bible has to say about money.
